Bio - Sean Hully is a woodwind specialist, guitar player, and vocalist who has performed with Carnival Cruise Lines, toured with tribute acts across Canada and the U.S.A., and released an independent album titled “Interaction.” He has a Master of Arts from York University (2007), a Licentiate of Music in classical saxophone (1993), and a Bachelor of Music (1991) from Queen’s University. Sean also studied jazz with saxophonist Pat Labarbera at Humber College and is an active musician today in Peterbough, Toronto, and the GTA. Sean taught private music lessons at The Sterling Hall School in Toronto, which is a prestigious school for boys from kindergarten to grade eight. He has also taught band classes at Blaisedale Montessori School in Pickering and musicianship classes at York University. Some of his graduate school work was researching the acquisition of musical principals through practising and performance, including brain function, psychology, and methodologies of transmitting musical traditions in various cultures. As a teacher, Sean focuses on musical fundamentals based on a student's individual needs. Students may begin lessons as early as six years old and adults are welcome too. Preparation for RCM exams is available and encouraged.
