Bio - Blair Packham began writing songs at the age of seventeen. After a few years as a recording engineer, working for Toronto’s famed Comfort Sound—working on “live” recordings by R.E.M, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bryan Adams, Aztec Camera and many more—Blair formed a band called The Jitters, who were eventually signed by EMI Music, Blair wrote or co-wrote five Canadian hits between 1987 and 1991, including “Last of the Red Hot Fools” and “’Til the Fever Breaks”. The band was Juno-nominated (Best New Group, 1988) and toured Canada constantly until their split in the early 90s. In the 1990s, Blair established a flourishing music-for-television-and-film career. Blair continues to write and record his own material, and has released two critically-acclaimed CDs of original music (available on iTunes and other Internet sites). Teaching is another skill Blair has added in recent years. In addition to his annual weeklong summer songwriting workshop (, Blair teaches Contemporary Songwriting throughout the year at Toronto’s Humber College and Seneca College. Blair also finds time to co-host a weekly music-magazine-style radio show on Toronto’s Newstalk 1010 CFRB.
